Born with open hands

I was born with open hands
Why should I ever close them?
Let rain and snow fall
my hands will remain uncovered
absorbing only
that which will make them stronger

I was born with open hands
Why should I ever cover them?
The cold cannot touch me
for my hands are burning
with God’s infinite Love

  1. I love the Little Princess quote! One of my favorite childhood books that perhaps I need to revisit since I don’t remember that quote ~ I love your poem which was inspired by it as well Line. Truly beautiful, just like you and your sweet soul. ♥

    • Yes, I really think you should re-read that book! 🙂 There is one part for children to enjoy, but there is also a part that you will understand better as an adult, I think 🙂 I have read that book at least 3-4 times and I find something new every time I read it! 🙂 Lots and lots of Love and Joy to you lovely Yvonne!! 🙂 ❤

    • Yes, like when you are trying to give someone healing, first you open your hands to God, then you give what is in your hands to someone else 🙂 ❤

  2. Hi Line! It is so beautiful to see you embrace your light…your Angel-Self as you say! Nothing is better in life than to recognize your gift and live in it!! I send you all good energy and love and I know I am energized more because of you!! ❤ ❤ ❤

  3. Wow, this is incredibly beautiful Line! 🙂 Such a lovely poem, inspired from a great quote…you are an angel with a heart of gold ❤ ❤ I loove the flower at the top too! 🙂

    • Hihi! 🙂 We are all angels in disguise!! 🙂 Yes, the flower is incredible!! 🙂 It is from Singapore, and when I saw it I was so excited!! 🙂 My brother was sacred that I was going to fall into the pond while looking at it! Hihihih:-)

  4. Thank you for this sweet poem. Very inspiring. I feel the same way.
Why can’t we be givers without feeling guilt or doubts?
Yes, we can. Our hands were born to be open.

    • Yes!! And I also think that when we are born givers we should be allowed to give, and give and give! I mean, so many people I know don’t like when I give, beacuse they think they have to give something back and that stresses them out! No matter how many times I say that I give to give and not to get, they seem to not understand, so many have told me to stop giving so much 😦 That makes me sad 😦
