Wrap me in nights

Wrap me in as many nights as you want.
I carry millions of suns. Bring me forth
only when I am asked to prove myself,
and I will string pebbles on my sling.
And the lake will ripple ten times
as I leave my afterbirth
on its golden seams.

  1. Trini, Trini, Trini! I have read your three latest poems and they are so beautiful. I don’t know whether to be inspired to write better poetry, or to feel crushed, knowing that I will never write it as well as you! (Does that make sense lol!) Keep it coming – I will visit as often as I can. 🙂
