There is no water that stands still here…

image

There is no water that stands still here.
Only music expanding beyond rivers.
Like the sound of leaves, falling, drifting, slowly.
Like gusts of moving stillness between rocks and cliffs,
cupped by gentleness, opening along willows.

Clusters of clouds pour into tranquility,
And dawn upon emerald coves.
Shadows upon shadows of stars, afloat, adrift.

There is no water that stands still here.
Only music expanding beyond rivers.
Like the sound of dust
being pulled by gravity into unity, slowly.

A sea calls, beckons, opens along shores,
like gusts of moving stillness.
There is time flowing into time,
Space generating space and drifting apart.
Softly, quietly…
And pools becoming wells that shine,
like blue lanterns quivering upon a black sea
filled with breath.

There is no water that stands still here.
Only music expanding, only life expanding
floating into solitude, into unity…

  1. Gorgeous, once again. It must be a mystical experience, being inside your head! ❀ πŸ™‚ ❀ I love how expansive the feel of this poem is, how it breathes and pulses. ❀ ❀ ❀

  2. Beautiful Trini. So well written. It is interesting, isn’t it what the sea can show us about time and space and unity?
