Trees shed their names in your absence

The night wind is always busy
Moving leaves around on the road
While you sleep,
And the rain weaves blue embroideries
On the concrete.
But none of this is for you.
The sky wallows in silence and the trees
Are mute in their growing.
But none of this is coincidental.
Love does not belong to
The human heart and neither
Does the truth.
Trees shed their names in your absence
And birds fly across borders
Guided by echoes you have never
Heard.

  1. An amazing poem Trini, touching that ‘something’ within us as it peels back that truth ❀
Yes, very beautiful, it touches the core of our very existence ❀ πŸ˜€

    • As long as it is a gentle rain I find rain very soothing and beautifully melancholy, but the heavy downpours I can live without. 😊😊. I am so happy you liked the poem, thank you so much! πŸ’–πŸ’–
