Time grew wings and flew

Time grew wings and flew

backwards into the sunset.

It hid in the dark and disregarded

the stars travelling past.

But time did not change,

no matter how far back it ran.

Change happened anyway;

light to dark, young to old, life to death

and death to life again.

So time re-emerged

defeated and worn out

it realized it had become

a ghost, obsolete and forgotten

as life had continued to turn in its absence.

  1. We try to control our time in so many ways Trini, mind you I may have wrinkles but the wisdom and love time has given me makes up for it in more ways than one. Great poem kind lady πŸ˜€ ❀️ πŸ™πŸ½ πŸ¦‹ πŸ˜‚ 🀣

    • Thank you so much, Mark! wrinkles sure are a sign of wisdom! My cousin always says whenever I see her (we see each other rarely): Do I have any new wrinkles since last time? Well, if I do, I have earned every one of them! Haha! I love that! She is still just in her 30s, but I love that she says that!
