We sleep under the same black sky

Tonight, the rivers
Have frozen over
And bright summer days
Can’t even seem to bring us
Back together.
We sleep under the same
Black sky, but the stars
Seem to create different patterns
In our lives. Perhaps it is time
To let our memories draw
Shadows in the snow and simply wait
For the sun to rise.

Exquisite Moments

He was the only witness
to my own Being unfolding
And finding its way through
A maze of exquisite moments
Born and bred
To luxuriate the transiency
Of life.

The roots of our Life-Light

Our insatiable God-hunger
Will slowly kill us
If we trick it with sugary treats
For too long.
It is an innate hunger to
Know our selves, to feel
The roots of our life-light.
And to turn our backs on it
Is the ultimate darkness
That will eventually blind us
To our very own soul.
